Recent cases illustrate my commitment to keeping clients out of jail through aggressive and creative defense methods:
- My 18-year-old male client and two of his friends were charged with raping and killing an 8 year old girl. I based my defense strategy on, 1) my suspicion that the police lied about the facts of the case, and 2) that the jury could be persuaded based on the unscrupulous facts presented by the State that the police did not have the necessary evidence to convict my client. The result? The two other accused Defendants working with their own lawyer were found guilty. My client was found innocent and walked out of the courtroom a free man.
- My client was attending a birthday in Hartford County that involved many conflicting and volatile relationships. Violence erupted, resulting in my client facing charges of shooting and killing a man. Evidence pointing to my client's guilt was persuasive and overwhelming, and he faced a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole. My aggressive and impassioned representation resulted in a sentence which in effect will give this man a life outside of prison.
